A crime fighter and gymnast by day...

What do we look for in a girl? Well, start with a free spirit. After that, beauty, brains and a certain athleticism rank high on the list. Mix all that up in one girl and you've got a winner. Take Heather Rene Smith, for example, our delicious Miss February. We don't need to tell you she's radiant and beautiful--her pictures do the talking. As for brains, the 20-year-old California native is getting degrees in forensic psychology and criminology, and she dreams of outsmarting crooks by living out CSI episodes in real life. "I like thinking about what makes people tick and why they act the way they do," she says. As for athletic prowess, suffice it to say that Heather used to be a competitive gymnast; flips and upside-down splits are all in a day's fun. She explains, "I started when I was three because I had a lot of energy." (Note: Add that to the list--free spirit, beauty, brains, athletic prowess, lots of energy.) "By the time I was 14, I was in high-level competitions. Gymnastics taught me how to react when put on the spot." Judges? A perfect 10!

When she's not studying or doing flips on a balance beam, Heather likes to tinker with old cars. She and her brother rebuilt a 1964 Chevy truck together, and now she's working on a vintage Camaro. "I know how to change the oil and different fluids," she says, "and basic tune-up things." (Free spirit, brains, beauty...you get the point.) She works as a waitress at Hooters, and she loves to hang out with her guy friends, preferably outdoors. Regarding relationships, "I haven't had a serious one in a long time," she says. "I need someone who likes to have fun and doesn't care about other people's opinions. I can be really loud and I talk a lot, so I may scare quiet guys away. I'm definitely not shy. I'm usually the one who approaches men." Advice for Mr. Right: "A concert is a good first date and a great way to get a feel for a person. I love rock, punk and country."

Football season here at Nebraska is when things get really crazy. My friends live next to the stadium and their whole street fills up with parties and Flippy Cup contests on game days. People will randomly show up at parties and, most of the time, they're always welcome to come and drink.

3. What are some of your favorite things?
Working out is my favorite thing to do. I like to run and do at least five miles a day. I also like to go shopping with my friends. I'm obsessed with shoes and have more than 120 pairs. And I definitely like to party!

Final Exam: What is your special talent?
I used to be a gymnast, so I'm pretty flexible and can still do back flips. I actually did one at a party last weekend.

1. What part of a guy do you study first?
When I first meet a guy, I look at his smile and his shoes. I know that sounds strange, but I'm a sucker for a great smile and I like funny guys, so a good smile is a must. Shoes are also key because they indicate whether or not a guy cares about his appearance.

2. What's the party scene like at your school?
My school is very small, but I live in Southwest Florida and the beach is the place to be almost year-round. There really aren't any fun campus rituals, but we do throw toga parties often. The biggest party of the year is spring break. For natives of the area, it lasts about two months. The beach is one giant party all day and all night.

3. What are some of your favorite things?
I can't live without my iPod. I love going out on my Jet Skis and having fun on the water. I also love GPS, since I get lost very easily.

Final Exam: What is your special talent?
I'm an amateur masseuse. My friends are always asking me to give them a massage.

1. What part of a guy do you study first?
I like a guy who smiles with his eyes. It's a subtle gesture, but oh-so sexy! I think you can tell a lot from a person's eyes. Of course, if he just stares at my chest it's obvious he's after just one thing.

2. What's the party scene like at your school?
There's such a wide variety of people to meet and places to go. The student nights are the best: cheap beer, cheesy pop music and everyone is up for a laugh. Otley runs are the best. They're kind of like bar crawls through Leeds organized by the student union. It's held once a week and large groups of students participate in fancy dress.

3. What are some of your favorite things?
Waking up on a Saturday morning and sleeping for two extra hours. I love walking my dog on a warm summer's day through the park and checking out all the hot guys. I absolutely love modeling. I'm also a sucker for chocolate éclairs, which doesn't help me keep my figure thin and slender.

Final Exam: What is your special talent?
Chatting up men at bars and flirting. I'm also a pole dancer.
